Always Say A Prayer!
There are people
who can walk away from you.
And hear me
when I tell you this!
When people
can walk away from you: let them walk.
I don't want
you to try to talk another person into staying with you,
loving you,
calling you, caring about you, coming to see you,
staying attached
to you.
I mean hang
up the phone.
When people
can walk away from you let them walk.
Your destiny
is never tied to anybody that left.
People leave
you because they are not joined to you.
And if they
are not joined to you,
you can't make
them stay.
Let them go.
And it doesn't
mean that they are a bad person,
it just means
that their part in the story is over.
And you've
got to know when people's
part in your
story is over so that you
don't keep
trying to raise the dead.
You've got
to know when it's dead.
You've got
to know when it's over.
Let me tell
you something.
I've got the
gift of good-bye.
It's the tenth
spiritual gift,
I believe in
good-bye.
It's not that
I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful,
and I know
whatever God means for me to have
He'll give
it to me.
And if it takes
too much sweat I don't need it.
Stop begging
people to stay.
Let them go!!

that doesn't
belong to you and was never intended for your life,
then you need

holding on to past hurts and pains ..

can't treat you right, love you back, and see your worth...

We think to ourselves, "Wouldn't
it be nice not to have to worry about the washer breaking down?" "Wouldn't it
be nice to drive a reliable car?" "Wouldn't it be nice to take a Caribbean vacation
every year?" "Wouldn't it be nice not to have to work?" If we had money, we think,
at least we wouldn't have to worry so much and could live comfortably.
True. Money buys external comfort - plush couches and chairs, luxury cars, beautiful
environments. Money buys what comforts and soothes us on the outside. And, if
we're going to be miserable anyway, why not do it in comfort?
We remember that regardless of our surroundings, misery is misery. Unless we have
the right attitude, we'll find something wrong with whatever we have or don't
have. When we work on improving our inner world on alleviating the real cause
of our misery - we know true comfort. We know serenity.
Today I know that the better I get, the richer I become.

The Fern and the Bamboo
One day I decided to
quit.... I quit my job, my relationship, my
spirituality..... I wanted to quit my life. I went to the woods to have
one last talk with God.
"God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"
His answer surprised me...
"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of
them. I gave them light.
I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant
green covered the floor.
Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.
In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again,
nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo".
He said. "In the third year, there was still nothing from the bamboo
seed. But I would not quit.
In the fourth year, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. But I
would not quit.
He said. "Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth.
Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant.
But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had
spent the five years growing roots.
Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I
would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."
He said to me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been
struggling, you have actually been growing roots. I would not quit on
the bamboo. I will never quit on you. Don't
compare yourself to others."
He said. "The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern, yet, they
both make the forest beautiful."
"Your time will come," God said to me. " You will rise high!"
"How high should I rise?" I asked. "How high will the bamboo rise?" He
asked in return. "As high as it can?" I questioned.
"Yes." He said,"Give me glory by rising as high as you can."
Never regret a day in your life.
Good days give you Happiness.
Bad days give you Experiences.
Both are essential to life.
Happiness keeps you Sweet,
Trials keep you Strong,
Sorrows keep you Human,
Failures keep you Humble,
Success keeps You Glowing,
But Only God keeps You Going!

There are no guarantees in life, but it is a sure thing that you will get back what you give. If you give 100 percent of your attention, energy and time to a thing, you will get exactly that back. Spending your time and attention focused on what you cannot do and do not have assures that more the same will come. When you concentrate on lack, weakness, fault and blame, it is sure to become a reality. Nobody has everything, but everybody has something. Use what you have right now! Use it wisely, freely, with love. Wherever you are, use your time, energy and talents to do the best you can right now. Give no thought to what is missing. Spend no time wishing it were better. Make sure you give all that you have to make sure you will get all that you need.

Time passes. Life happens. Distance separates. Children grow up. Jobs come and go. Love waxes and wanes. Men don't do what they're supposed to do. Hearts break. Parents die. Colleagues forget favors. Careers end. BUT......... Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach. When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end. Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you. Or come in and carry you out. Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, Auntie's, nieces, cousins, and extended family, all bless our life! The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other. Every day, we need each other still. Life might not be the party we wished for...but while we're here, we may as well dance!! FAITH: sees the invisible, believes the incredible, and receives the impossible |

May this encourage you always. Don't spend major time with minor people.
If there are people in your life that continually disappoint you, break promises, stomp on your dreams, too judgmental, have different values and don't have your back during difficult times...that is not a friend. To have a friend, be a friend. Sometimes in life as you grow, your friends will either grow or go. Surround yourself with people who reflect values, goals, interests and lifestyle. When I think of any of my successes, I am thankful to GOD from whom all blessings flow, and to my family and friends that enrich my life. Over the years my phone book has changed because I changed for the better. At first you think you're going to be alone, but after a while new people show up in your life that make your life so much sweeter and easier to endure. Remember what your elders used to say, "Birds of a feather flock together." If you're an eagle, don't hang around chickens: Chickens Can't Fly! I love the Lord and thank Him for all that he does in my life, He is my source of existence. He keeps me functioning each and everyday. Without Him, I will be nothing.
