What an amazing day! It was a great event put on by Chris Winkler, FCA Director, and Leslie Rossi, Teacher at Walt Whitman Elementary School.  This is the first year that this event was held at this school.  Thanks to the great efforts of both Chris and Leslie.  Great support provided by all of the youth Leaders who were lead by Chris Mendez, Youth Pastor at Ft. Belvoir.

 I’m thankful for the opportunity that I was given to be a part of this event.  I spoke to all of the different sport groups and participated in the many events that were available such as basketball, soccer, football, cheerleading and yes, and I even spoke to them about weight training. I spoke to the youth groups about staying away from drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes and surrounding themselves with positive people.

 Guest speaker was Steve Fitzhugh, former NFL career with the Denver Broncos and Cleveland Browns. Steve is one powerful speaker.  He has an excellent message.
